Case Study
Company: Meraki Bay NGO
Industry: Non-profit / Social Development / Community Empowerment
Role: Senior Graphic Designer & Visual Collaborator
Deliverables: Communication materials, event materials, digital content, roll-up banners, posters, and reusable design templates
The Challange
Meraki Bay is a Spanish NGO born from a trip to South Africa, where its founders discovered the deep inequalities in the community of Hangberg (Hout Bay). Their mission focuses on youth empowerment, local entrepreneurship, and education as tools for social change.
The organization needed visual materials for fundraising events — designs that captured their mission and connected emotionally with donors and volunteers.
The Process
I designed event materials such as roll-ups and posters that reflected the NGO’s values: optimism, energy, and social transformation.
Every piece aimed to communicate hope and impact, combining photography, color, and typography in a way that felt professional yet human.
To help the NGO remain visually consistent over time, I also created editable templates they could reuse for future events and campaigns.
Additionally, I collaborated with the team on design updates whenever they needed visual support to promote new initiatives.
The Outcome
The new materials helped Meraki Bay strengthen its public image and improve engagement during fundraising events.
The templates made it easier for the NGO to communicate their ongoing work in South Africa with clarity and professionalism, supporting their long-term mission of community empowerment.
