Case Study
Client: Tetuán International Film Festival
Industry: Arts & Culture / Film / Events
Role: Art Director & Graphic Designer
Deliverables:Event branding, poster design, visual identity, signage, digital campaigns, and printed materials
The Challange
The Tetuán International Film Festival celebrates cinematic creativity and cultural exchange between Europe and North Africa.
The challenge was to design a visual identity that captured the essence of film, art, and cultural connection, while giving the festival a modern, professional look aligned with international standards.
The visual language had to appeal to a diverse audience — filmmakers, sponsors, and the general public — and work across both print and digital platforms.
The Process
As Art Director, I developed a visual identity system inspired by cinematic light, texture, and motion.
The color palette was drawn from the landscapes and architecture of Tetuán — rich terracottas, gold tones, and deep blues — combined with bold, minimal typography to balance tradition and modernity.
My work included:
- Designing the festival’s main poster and key visual for print and digital distribution
- Creating brochures, catalogues, and signage for screenings and venues
- Developing social media graphics and web banners for online promotion
- Preparing press kits and sponsor materials ensuring visual consistency
Each element followed a clear design language — cinematic, elegant, and culturally grounded — making the festival instantly recognizable across media
The Outcome
The new identity elevated the Tetuán Film Festival’s brand presence, positioning it among internationally recognized cultural events.
The cohesive visuals gave the festival a professional yet artistic image, helping attract new sponsors and a wider audience.
The project combined design and storytelling to create a visual celebration of cinema and cross-cultural creativity.
